Thank you for stopping by. We are husband and wife team Michelle & David Rauenbusch and we work together from our home studio in the gorgeous Cygnet, Tasmania, Australia.

We began making furniture and homewares in 1997 as a response to our own needs.
We couldn’t find anything unique and well made, with soul.
We had both always had a passion for old houses and buildings and
had gradually been gathering up an eclectic mix of delicious treasures.
These had been amassed from rambling Sunday drives, auctions,
garage sales and renovators skip bins.

So with our amassed goodies, a passion for using recycled materials
(especially vintage timbers) and a wide range of experience 
in all sorts of different artistic endeavours, we started on our adventurous  journey.

Every timber piece you see in our shop is designed  and created by hand, from vintage timbers by David. Michelle dabbles in mosaic, ceramics and papier maché.
